    1. I know! It's fun to see all the different families being tied back to Jesse! :)

  2. Wow, so Armando and Haley are actually third cousins... o_o that makes it even worse!

  3. Wait, actually, they are second cousins. Oops.

    1. Hehehe, they're technically 2nd cousins once removed. (My daughter and I looked it up to figure out how that works!) Do they become "half 2nd cousins once removed" if their shared ancestor had kids with different mamas? :)

    2. Ohhh, yes, I see that now. And, I believe half-cousins is technically a valid term, but I don't think it's used often colloquially. But there's a pretty dramatic difference in terms of how related (genetically) you are to your full cousin vs. half cousins. Like, half-cousins only share one grandparent while full cousins share two. I kind of like the sound of "half second cousins once removed," though it might be easier to just say "cousins... of some sort." Lol

      ...I really like genealogy. ^.^'

  4. If you're interested, I found this relatedness calculator that shows exactly how related Haley and Armando would be, because I was curious. The answer: Not very. Heh.

  5. Very nice family tree.
In one of the stories I'm writing for the sims marriage between cousins is the main subject. It is very interesting how genealogy works.
I personally think that second cousins have very relation to each other. You could possibly marry your first cousin and have a healthy child, but of course there are risks since you share one part of the genes. However, once you look at a second cousin that's not a big deal.
I used to have crushes on my cousins (first cousins) when I was growing up. Thank God it never lasted hahahaha.

I was wondering how were you able to make the family tree like that? It looks really nice. :)

    1. Thanks! It's a labor of love! I wanted to include their traits, so the family tree generators didn't work. I just wound up creating it in my word program and setting all the pictures as icons. I just shift everything over when it's time to add a spouse or kids. :)

  6. Oops I meant to say very little relation to each other. Sorry.

  7. The link to your family tree isn't working for me. I was wondering if the link is bad or something...
